The concept of NO DICE really begins with the game ‘5000’, played with 6 dice. It’s a game myself, my daughter and pals like to play and more recently Cee-Lo using 3 dice (the name comes from the Chinese Sì-Wŭ-Liù (四五六), meaning "four-five-six". In America it is also called "See-Low," "Four-Five-Six,") and also the popular Japanese game Chō - Han (丁半) even-odd using 2 dice.

I’ll talk more about DICE games later, but first the project of NO DICE. 6 + 5 YO: NO DICE x Sawako Inoue. We had the idea very early on to make this pendent and chain. Sawako studied Jewellery design in Japan in 2004 and came to live in London the following year. She started making jewellery by hand for friends in her spare time and continued to sketch ideas and concepts. The dice needed to be geometric so it was the perfect opportunity to get them professionally cast.
